Checkpoint: Rush
This policy explains what information Checkpoint: Rush ("the game"), made by Checkpoint Development, handles. We do not operate any servers of our own. The game uses Google services for online rankings, cloud saves, purchases and ads, described below.
What stays on your device
Your settings, ad counters and daily bonus progress are stored on your device. Uninstalling the game or clearing its data deletes them.
Google Play Games (optional)
If you sign in to Google Play Games, the game uses Google's services for leaderboards, achievements and cloud saves:
- Your Play Games profile (your gamer name and avatar, and a player ID) is made available to the game by Google so it can show you on the leaderboards.
- Your scores from Rush, Daily Rush and Ranked runs are sent to Google Play Games and shown publicly on the leaderboards next to your gamer name.
- Cloud save: your game progress (XP, personal bests, lifetime totals, chosen desk and screen colour, and your Shift rule settings) is saved to your Google account through Play Games Saved Games, so it can be restored on another device. It contains no personal information beyond your game progress.
This information is handled by Google under Google's Privacy Policy. You can change your gamer name or profile visibility, or delete your Play Games data (including saved games), in the Google Play Games settings at any time.
Purchases
The optional Supporter pack is sold through Google Play. Google handles the payment; we never see your payment details. The game asks Google Play which purchases your account owns, so the pack can be restored on any device signed in to the same Google account. Google's handling of purchases is covered by Google's Privacy Policy and the Google Play terms.
Advertising
The game shows ads from Google AdMob: an occasional full-screen ad between runs, and optional ads you can choose to watch for daily bonuses. Supporters don't see ads between runs.
- To show and measure ads, Google's ads software may collect your device's advertising ID, your IP address (used to estimate your general location), device and app information, and how you interact with ads.
- Depending on where you live and your choices, ads may be personalised based on this information. In the European Economic Area, the UK, Switzerland and other places where the law requires it, the game asks for your consent first using Google's consent form, and you can change your choice at any time under Settings → Ad privacy choices.
- You can reset or delete your advertising ID, or opt out of personalised ads, in your Android device settings (Settings → Privacy → Ads, or Google → Ads).

What we don't collect
We have no analytics or tracking of our own, and we don't receive or store your personal information ourselves. The game does not ask for access to your contacts, location, camera, microphone or files.
Children
The game is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes
If the game's handling of information changes, this page will be updated before that version is released, and the effective date above will change.
